This original acrylic pour painting was created by hand at Shattered Layer Studio in Reno, Nevada. Deep violet, rich copper, black, and silver-gray were poured and pulled into bold, flowing bands, with pops of magenta scattered throughout. Over the top, thick raised lines of white spiral around a bright burst of gold and copper at the center. Some people see a vortex, some see a creature peeking out, some just see motion and color. What you find in it is up to you.

The 5×5 inch canvas is mounted on a vivid purple felt backing and set inside a black wood-grain frame with an 8×8 inch display opening. It’s displayed without a front cover so the raised texture of the pour stays visible and catches the light. The frame has an attached easel stand for desks, bookshelves, and mantels, plus a wall hanger if you’d rather hang it.
